Origin :
Native to Southern Europe, Lavender grows in the Mediterranean region.

Description :
A small shrub 20 to 60 cm high found on arid and limestone slopes. Its branches are bushy and its flowers are blue or lilac.

Properties :
Known for its moisturising properties, Lavender essential oil also enjoys a soothing power, which has been traditionally relied upon to reduce nervousness in children and adults.

History :
In the 18th century, Lavender was used for nervous disorders, to calm migraines and to procure restorative sleep.
