Latin name :
Corylius avellana L.

Origin :
The hazel bush existed as early as the Bronze Age in France. It is found in woods, ravines, meadows and low mountain areas.

Description :
A bushy shrub, it can reach up to 5 height. The fruit of the hazel bush always contains two kernels in the beginning, one of which always aborts.

Properties :
The leaves and the fruit of the hazel bush have anti-inflammatory properties. Hazelnut oil is softening, moisturising, regenerating and restructuring. Thanks to its nourishing action, it prevents dehydration and has recognised anti-ageing properties.

History :
The branches of the hazel bush are still used in the french countryside to find sources of water.
