Origin :
Imported from Central Asia, the Almond tree appeared in France in the 16th century and is grown in southern regions.

Description :
The Sweet almond tree is 6 to 12 metres high and its pink or white flowers blossom from February to March. Its fruit contains a seed: the Almond.

Properties :
Sweet Almond oil is softening and nourishing. It can be used in massage to restore the elasticity of the skin, or to prevent the formation of wrinkles and to maintain a youthful and supple appearance. Almond Shells are excellent natural exfoliants.

History :
The Almond tree is one of the symbols of virginity because its flowers appear long before its leaves.
