Latin name :
Olea Europea L.

Origin :
Mediterranean basin.

Description :
A tortured tree, the Olive tree has long silvery leaves and is covered in pale flowers in May and June before producing its fruit at the end of autumn. It can sometimes live up to 2,000 years. It is a tree valued as much for its bark as for its leaves and its fruit.

Properties :
The Olive Leaf has antioxidant and regenerating properties. It is also antiseptic, softening and invigorating. Olive Oil, on the other hand, has moisturising and regenerating properties, which make it a recognised anti-ageing active ingredient.

History :
The olive tree, a precious and sacred tree, has been grown since the earliest days of humanity. A symbol of life and peace, it also represents marriage. Olive oil was traditionally used as a softening agent and to prevent the harsh effects of the sun.
