Origin :
Native to India and China, bitter orange was introduced to the French Riviera.

Description :
A beautiful tree that can reach 5 metres in height, with shiny green leaves and extremely pure white flowers. The orange tree is the only tree with leaves, fruit and flowers all at the same time.

Properties :
Bitter orange flowers, from which Neroli essential oil and orange blossom floral water are extracted, offer anti-depressant and anti-hypertensive action. They are also softening, regenerating and invigorating and are recommended for soothing skin care. Essential Neroli oil also has moisturising benefits.

History :
The floral water derived from distilling orange blossom has been used since the earliest of times: procuring a peaceful sleep and reducing nervousness, it is a traditional remedy for sleep disorders.
